Composting Barn Update: Frames Up on 500-Cow Tauranga Dairy
Frames are going up on a new 140m x 31m composting barn in Tauranga, built for Koromiko Dairies’ 500-cow herd.
The job: cover feed year-round, cut stormwater into the effluent pond, and set the farm up for winter housing.
Feed capacity for 800, wintering for 420, centre feed lane, NuSpan timber roof. Earthworks done. Poles in. Frame up. Roof sheeting next. Build progress: 42%.
