Kura – The Ultimate Stable Floor
Richard and Karen Adgo of Ohariu Valley Equestrian Centre near Wellington say installing Numat’s Kura matting in eight of their 16 horse stables has paid for itself in just three months.
“The matting has seen a huge savings for us. Both in reduced labour time to clean the stables out and we also use a quarter of the straw that we used to for bedding,” Richard says.
Cleaning out a stable could take up to an hour-and-a-half to remove the straw, clean out the manure and lay fresh straw. “Now one stable is all done in about 10 minutes. We haven’t replaced one of our staff members who left just before we installed the matting as we haven’t needed to,” he says.
“I love the matting for its simplicity and ease of installation. I am looking forward to completing the second phase of the installation for the remaining stables as soon as the new concrete is down.”

If it wasn’t for the great service we wouldn’t have the matting down; we would have got busy again and forgotten about it or found another product which I know wouldn’t have been as good.
